Questions you may have.

  • Counselling offers a supportive and confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional. It can help you gain greater self-understanding, work through challenges, and develop practical strategies to support your wellbeing.

Prior to your first session, we will have a brief conversation about what has brought you to counselling, and I will share more about my approach so you can decide whether I am the right person to support you. If you are happy to proceed, we will schedule your first session and I will send you a consent form outlining important information about confidentiality, privacy, fees, and payment.

Many people feel nervous about their first session — this is completely normal. My aim is to provide a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can share what is on your mind at your own pace.

Counselling is a collaborative process. Together we will work to explore your concerns, develop greater insight and self-understanding, and build practical coping strategies and skills to support you in your daily life.

Throughout the counselling process, you are encouraged to ask questions at any time. If something doesn’t feel helpful or isn’t working for you, please let me know. This is your time, and it’s important that our work together feels supportive and meaningful for you.
